Currently, a senior at Paradise Valley High School (PVHS), Jared Witte, 18, is a Phoenix, Arizona native and a 4 th year Culinary Student in the Career and Technical Education (CTE) program. His life experiences consist of being part of a number of events and encounters. In 2013, as a freshman in high school he was honored to represent PVHS by competing in the Family Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) cupcake decorating competition at the State Conference in Tucson, AZ.

In 2015- 2016, he attended the Flex Conference on team building and gained better ways to be more efficient as a competitive group. As a National Honor Society, and Spanish Honor Society member he was able to put these skills to test not only academically but in the kitchen. In the fall of 2015 and 2016, he was grateful to represent PVHS at C-CAPS (Career for Culinary Arts Program) annual Harvest Moon charity event at Cancer Treatment Center of America in 2015 and Old McDonalds Farm in 2016.

His most recent endeavor was in February of 2017 where he participated in the Career for Culinary Arts Program (C-CAP) competition hosted at Paradise Valley High School in Phoenix and represented PVHS as a finalist. He is honored to be invited back to participate in the Teen Challenge here at The Scottsdale Culinary Festival for the second year in a row. When he is not cooking or in math class you will find him on stage being theatrical in one of his school drama productions, traveling and spending time with his family.
